How can i increase social media engagement and make the panhellenic identity more cohesive during my time in the role of Vice president of public relations?

 Design question:

Overview:

As the Vice President of Public Relations for the 2022 Panhellenic Executive Council, I spearheaded efforts to manage and enhance the social media presence of JMU Panhellenic. My duties also included crafting compelling print and digital advertisements and marketing materials, contributing to the success of promotional campaigns and reinforcing Panhellenic's brand identity, coordinating and executing events, and directing and managing a team of 12 public relations representatives, optimizing communication strategies for campus organizations.

Challenge:

The main challenge was to create a cohesive brand image and effectively engage with the JMU Panhellenic community across various social media platforms. There was previously no consistent theme for the social media content and very little engagement on posts. 

Approach:

To address this challenge, I developed a comprehensive social media strategy focused on creating a cohesive brand image for JMU Panhellenic. I managed all social media channels, including Instagram and Facebook, to ensure consistent messaging and visual identity. Additionally, I recognized the growing popularity of TikTok and successfully launched a JMU Panhellenic TikTok account, where I shared promotional videos and behind-the-scenes content to foster community engagement in a more personal way.

SOlution:

Through strategic content planning and engagement tactics, I was able to improve the social media presence of JMU Panhellenic and strengthen connections with the community. The cohesive brand image and engaging content helped to increase follower engagement and reach across platforms.

conclusion:

My role as Vice President of Public Relations provided invaluable experience in social media management and brand building, as well as team management and strategic planning. By implementing a cohesive brand image and leveraging platforms like TikTok, I was able to effectively engage with the JMU Panhellenic community and beyond in order to elevate the council's social media presence.
